C. BENEFITS

I. 4-DAY WORK WEEK

  1. Work-Life Balance: We value your personal life. Our 4-day work week allows you to balance your professional and personal commitments. It means more time to take care of your house, spend quality moments with your family, and attend appointments without the pressure of a traditional 5-day work schedule.

  2. Increased Productivity: In four days, you’ll achieve what many accomplish in five. Our working hours depend on the work location. Some crews will work from 6 AM to 8 PM while others might work from 7AM-7PM.

  3. Time for Yourself: With our 4-day work week, you’ll have three days per week for yourself, allowing you to relax, pursue hobbies, and enjoy the leisure activities you love.

  4. Flexibility: Please note that the 4-day work week doesn’t always mean you’ll be off on Fridays. In some cases, weather conditions may necessitate work on Fridays to ensure project progress, but we’re committed to your needs and the project’s success.

II. NUMBER OF WEEKS AND HOURS

  1. Construction Season: Our construction season typically spans from early May to early November. The duration may vary depending on project demands, weather conditions, and market dynamics.

  2. Work Hours: Our employees typically work approx 50-60 hrs per week.

  3. Seasonal Positions: Most of our positions are seasonal in nature, and we usually do not have work during the winter. This period can be an opportunity for rest or alternative employment, such as snow removal or carpentry.

III. DPSP PLAN

  1. Matching Contributions: We’re here to help you secure your future. Our company matches up to 3% of your weekly earnings in a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP). This plan can be used with RRSPs and/or TFSAs.

  2. Instant 100% Return: When you contribute to the plan, you receive a 100% instant return on your investment through our matching. This is a great incentive, as it surpasses typical stock market returns.

  3. Investment Options: You have the opportunity to invest in stocks, bonds, ETFs, and mutual funds with your contributions and the matched contributions, setting you on the path to financial security.

IV. HEALTH AND DENTAL INSURANCE

  1. Comprehensive Coverage: We provide health and dental insurance to our employees, helping you and your family manage the expenses associated with health care.

V. WAGES

  1. Competitive Pay: We value your skills and dedication. Our competitive wages reflect that:

  •   Labor: $20-23 per hour

  •   Loader Operator: $23-24 per hour

  •   Pipe layer: $24-28 per hour

  •   Concrete finisher: $24-28 per hour

  •   Heavy Equipment Operator: $26-32 per hour

  •   Truck Driver: $22 per hour

  •   Surveyor: $23-30 per hour

  All other positions: Wages to be determined based on qualifications and responsibilities.

VI. WORKING ON THE ROAD

  1. Hourly Compensation: When you’re on the road, your time is valuable. We pay you hourly for your travel time.

  2. Traveling Expenses: We cover your traveling expenses, providing either the equivalent of $0.50 per kilometer or transportation in a company vehicle.

  3. Food Allowance: To ensure you’re well-fed and comfortable, we offer a $40 non-taxable (clear) daily allowance for food.

  4. Individual Hotel Rooms: We understand the importance of privacy and comfort during work-related travel. That’s why we provide individual hotel rooms, allowing you to recharge and have your own space.
